Chrome for thought I
Design Aficionados-
I have recently been taking further efforts to embellish my horizons out of my pure and passionate desire for knowledge and understanding of design. In doing so I ran across an archive a couple of months ago that I have been following and staying up to date with. I figure I’d share this bit of information for you all that take knowledge and your passions seriously. Motivation is sometimes hard to come by, especially in today’s society. We have to ensure that we surround ourselves with positive people that share similar or complementary ideas, morals, and alacrity. At any rate,
The articles/interviews I am sharing with you are titled “Design Matters”. Some of you may already be familiar with the subject matter. Debbie Millman (President of AIGA, Editor of Print Magazine, and Faculty of the School of Visual Arts) in my opinion does a wonderful job of helping communicate the vigorous importance of design through conversation and critical thought.
Check out:
DESIGN MATTERS ARCHIVE: 2005-2009
http://observermedia.designobserver.com/show_designmattersarchive.html
“Design Matters is an opinionated and provocative internet talk radio show hosted by Debbie Millman. This historical archive includes all episodes from 2005 through the beginning of 2009. The show combines a stimulating point of view about graphic design, branding and cultural anthropology.”
It can also be downloaded via itunes. It may sound kinda “n.e.r.dy” but ay… who cares.
“We are in a mental comprehensive recession for knowledge. Maximize your mind. Abstain the depression… stay in college”.

If you read design blogs on a regular basis, these are a very few sources for inspiration, knowledge, and further muse.

Video of the Day: 555 KUBIK
555 KUBIK | facade projection | from urbanscreen on Vimeo.
I found this to be quite interesting. The idea is said to originate from the idea of a "dreaming house". Find more at UrbanScreen.com or http://www.todayandtomorrow.net/2009/07/23/555-kubik-facade-projection/
